But what would he have to change? Remember, he didn't intentionally throw a flying elbow at Johansson. He simply tumbled down and Johansson tied to punch Marchand's elbow with his face. Also, as Cassidy said, he takes a lot of abuse (like every other NHL star ever), so he has to defend himself. So what exactly do they want him to change?

I have my doubts like everyone else but I think the only way he will change is if the Bruins organization and his teammates force him to change and pressure him from within. Otherwise it won't happen. It's a shame such a great player tarnishes himself with carelessness and nonsense.

“Brad is an elite hockey player in the National Hockey League, so when I have conversations with him, it always starts there, and then it goes to, well, what do you want your legacy to be? He’s at a stage in his life and a maturity level where, I think, he understands, he truly gets that he doesn’t need the other stuff to make him an elite player, to continue to be an elite player,” said head coach Bruce Cassidy.

If that doesn't resonate, he'll never get it.

I hope he doesn't change a thing. Big points, beautiful goals, and makes opponents look like complete cowards. I mean Komorov just took the lick, late in a game that was out of reach. I lost more respect for Komy on that play then Marchand. Lets not forget, Villains are great for the league. Wish Avery was still around to Boo.

I doubt he will change his game, and if he does I doubt he will continue to have the same success.

My co worker Rob wasn't super impressed when I did it to him.
Asked me wtf?
Then chuckled and shook his head while mumbling something about me being (frank)ed in the head.
No big deal though cause he's not a (frank)ing snowflake.

Marchand is a great player. Still time for him to receive the praise his talent deserves if he can stop being a complete (frank) head.

Anyone interested in joining a 31 team simulation hockey league? It's like EA be-a-gm on steroids basically. You manage an NHL team, an AHL team and prospects. Sign players to contracts, set your lineups and strategies, and then all the games are simulated. We've got a couple open spots in the league right now, and at least one VERY good team is available.

I'll probably post this a few times for maximum visibility since it's the down time and people aren't around as frequently. If you're interested reply to me here, or if you want to send me an email it's the same as my forums user name @gmail.com. I can answer any questions or tell you more if you're interested.

Hey man, sounds like something I’d be interested in. Is it like whatifsports or something like that - if you know what I’m talking about. Is it for money?
